Jason Alisharan is the founder of JA Films and a Los Angeles based writer and producer alongside his producing partner Naomi Buckley. 

As a former Creative Executive at Fade to Black Productions, Mr. Alisharan developed the script and co-produced the Academy Award Nominated A SINGLE MAN. 

Starring Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, Matthew Goode and Nicholas Hoult; the film was nominated for three Golden Globes and three Independent Spirit Awards including Best First Screenplay and Best First Feature. A SINGLE MAN was named a top ten movie of the year by the American Film Institute and Time Magazine.

Mr. Alisharan also worked as an assistant in feature development at DreamWorks Studios where he was involved with such films as COLLATERAL, TRANSFORMERS, MEET THE FOCKERS, RED EYE and PAYCHECK. 

He began his career in the mailroom at the Endeavor Talent Agency.

As a teenager he was a series regular on Nickelodeon’s Are You Afraid of the Dark.

A graduate of Stanford University, he has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and a Master’s degree in Sociology.
